Euridge Manor: A Very Special Venue

Euridge Manor, Chippenham, is the venue of fairy tales. Designed to look and feel like an Italianate estate, this Wiltshire Wedding venue is more of an experience than a location. Every corner has been thoughtfully curated to inspire romance; it’s cinematic. Euridge Manor is very popular with our over seas couples pining for a beautiful wedding in the English countryside, and below, we explore why.

The Boathouse & Lake

We can’t talk about Euridge without noting one of its most unique aspects; the charming boating lake and the Disney-esque ducks that inhabit it. One of the most scenic spots at this Chippenham Wedding venue, the Boat House is the spot for magical ceremonies. Not many wedding venues can boast a post-ceremony photoshoot on a boat in the middle of a lake, can they? Often decorated with florals, this aspect of the day has become pretty iconic.

The Lost Orangery

Personally one of my favourite parts of Euridge Manor is the Lost Orangery. Oozing Med vibes and dotted with trailing geraniums, this beautiful room is an integral part of the venue. Designed to portray a partially ruined Italian orangery, this space boasts grandeur while feeling intimate. An incredible getting ready space for your bridesmaids, or the perfect spot for sunset cocktails overlooking the garden.

The Chandelier Arch

Another one of those spots that instantly says ‘That’s Euridge!’ - the Chandelier Arch. I love seeing how couples incorporate this special spot into their day. Is it a special ceremony backdrop or does it frame your Champagne tower moment? That’s up to you. Something that sets Euridge out from other West Country venues is the freedom the couple have to create a day that is unique to them.

The Gardens

You’re spoilt for choice of stunning garden locations at Euridge. Walled rose gardens, lawns with views of rolling hills, cobbled pathways meandering through the manicured flower beds. Guests are inspired from the moment they step foot in this other-worldly location, and one of the main reasons for this is the gardens. They have been planned to look stunning all year round, with an explosion of colour from Spring. Orange tulips, lilac wisteria and soft pink roses are just some of what you can expect.

The Ballroom

Sat above a giant swimming pool, the ballroom is a mystical room at the heart of the wedding venue. Grand mirrors, high ceilings, huge windows and its own grotto. That’s right, if you get married at Euridge Manor your top table can sit in front of a whimsical grotto. After the wedding breakfast, we can turn this space into the most impressive wedding bar you’ve ever seen!

Rooms & Accommodation

One of the key reasons for couples choosing Euridge is the extensive accommodation offering. With beautifully designed on-site cottages and rooms at the venue for the close wedding party, we can see why it’s a haven for destination weddings. This in turn allows us to offer catering options for the night before the wedding, and the morning after, turning your wedding day into a full wedding weekend.

Quintessentially British

Although many parts of the venue are inspired by Italy, Euridge is a popular choice for that ‘quintessentially English’ countryside wedding. It’s not overly traditional or predictable, but it offers heritage with an editorial flair. Rolling hills and stone architecture are often romanticised about, but a traditional English wedding can feel formal and stiff. Euridge instead offers a version of the English countryside that is unconventional, and truly beautiful.

We could talk about Euridge all day. And perhaps for another blog post, we can give some tips and tricks as to how to plan a Euridge Manor wedding. It can be helpful to see a caterer’s side of things when it comes to plotting timings and guest movement over such a vast venue. For now, our final note about Euridge is to shout out the amazing Alicja, Euridge Manor’s venue manager. Knowledgable, approachable, helpful and good fun. A real comfort to have around for your wedding weekend.

Looking for a caterer for your Euridge wedding weekend? We’d love to help!

Thank you to Chloe Caldwell and Beccy Goddard for letting us use their amazing images from our previous Euridge couple’s days!
