DIY style marquee weddings should be accesible for everyone. Couples shouldn’t be priced out of having the outdoor wedding of their dreams. Venues can charge anywhere around the £6,000 mark to rent grounds before you even think about your marquee hire, let alone catering and furniture… This is something that has been in the back of my mind for a little while. I want planning a marquee wedding to feel streamlined, fuss free and affordable.

On my quest to make marquee wedding planning a little easier, I met with the amazing Erica at Archers Marquees. Luckily, she shared my vision, and we got plotting right away to create an outdoor wedding package combining everything you need for the perfect countryside wedding.

Set in the beautiful Somerset countryside, our wedding field has everything needed to be a prime English wedding location. Rolling fields, charming natural hedges, and access to some fabulous accommodation. There’s a parking field, running water and a wealth of ceremony locations nearby. You can of course also choose to have a non-legal ceremony on site.

Combine our blank canvas wedding field with Archers Marquees’ charming wedding structure, and you have yourself a venue! The classic silhouette of a sail cloth marquee can’t be matched in my eyes. Those satisfying little peaks popping up from the rolling fields; the epitome of an English countryside wedding.

And of course, it wouldn’t be the full package without all the trimmings! All of your furniture, lighting, toilets and generator are included in our marquee wedding package. See, I told you we’re making it easy for you!

The icing on the cake, is that we’ve included a full catering package in our pricing. As part of our offering, we’re including canapes, 3 courses, evening food and drinks service as standard. That includes all staff, crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen. It really does combine everything you need. Whether you’re going for our famous sharing feasts or a classic plated meal, we’ll work with you to create a bespoke menu.
