Real Wedding: E & S

In an elegant Georgian country house on the outskirts of Bath, E & S worked with Lucy Ann Events to put together an intimate and oh-so stylish wedding day. It was a pleasure to work with E & S to create their dream menu, and helping choose the finishing touches to bring their tablescape to life.

A sophisticated garden party with their favourite people; E & S’s wedding day gathered their impeccably dressed nearest and dearest for a day of chatting, eating, drinking and dancing.

E started her day getting ready in the natural light of the big beautiful Georgian windows. The perfect backdrop to her classically stunning dress.

Don’t they look like film stars? Like stepping off set from a movie, E’s classic dress perfectly complemented S’s black tux and bow tie, the ultimate outfit pairing for a grand country house.

And the tablescapes looked too good to be true, too! With pooky lamps replacing flowers, there was an undeniable speakeasy/jazz club feel to the dining room. Low lighting, elegant glassware, deep dark woods; it felt like an exclusive dining experience in London!

Their drinks reception in the beautiful gardens of the property saw guests sipping Champagne and eating an array of summer canapés including our popular tuna tataki with pickled ginger, and slow braised chorizo.

After enjoying a long reception in the garden, guests made their way into the house for the meal and speeches. E & S opted for a relaxed feel through the wedding breakfast - they chose a menu full of flavour and colour that nodded to their social, intimate feel.

The meal began with sharing boards and bowls; antipasti with grilled vegetables, marinated prawns, mozzarella and our house breads. For main course, E & S wanted comforting and delicious sliders with fries, corn and summer salads.

The couple wanted to use their wedding cake for dessert, so as to ensure it was eaten. It went down a storm, served from wooden boards for guests to help themselves.

We were thrilled to be part of E & S’s day, and work with some of our favourite suppliers. Everything runs so smoothly under the watchful eye of Lucy Ann Events, and Marta Ilardo Photography captured the day perfectly. She really caught the true essence of the event, and we’re so thankful she’s shared these images with us!
