Real Wedding: L & T
While we’re still patiently waiting for the sun to come back, we thought we’d warm you up with this colourful summer marquee wedding from 2025. L & T’s marquee wedding at home in the Wiltshire countryside was filled with personal details, laughter and fresh, delicious dishes.
After the pub (!!) and a stunning Church ceremony, guests made their way to the family home for an English country garden reception to celebrate the happy couple.
Alongside Champagne, L & T brought a little touch of Italy to their marquee wedding drinks reception with refreshing Aperol Spritz and Hugo Spritz. Pops of orange and green circulating on trays; a very welcome sight for guests in the summer sunshine.
There was a colour scheme carried through the day; coral, orange and various shades of pink. From the mismatched bridesmaid dresses to the flowers, this fun colour scheme really sand with the hymn sheet of summer.
It wasn’t just two legged guests on the lookout for canapés! The family sausage dog was keeping an eye out too.
The canapé menu included the all-time crowd favourite, arancini, tuna & avocado tostadas and a little zing from our hot & spicy prawns.
Into the marquee, and the colour pops did not stop! DP Marquee's beautiful pole tent was able to have the sides up for a welcome breeze as guests made their way to their seats. Classic white table cloths paired with little bud vases of summer flowers awaited.
We can get so carried away with charger plates, coloured glassware, patterned napkins, but a classic look pairs perfectly with a quintessentially British garden wedding, doesn’t it?
Stand-out features included a seasonal flower installation in the overhead lighting and a truly beautiful garden display on their pallet bar.
Dinner time! L & T chose a plated wedding breakfast, and began with two light, colourful and delicate starters perfect for summer. Cured salmon, pickled cucumber and lavosh, and our smashed pea bruschetta with ricotta.
For mains, guests tucked into lamb rump and belly, with potato mille feuille and summer veggies. For vegetarians, our charred aubergine with dukkah and tabbouleh.
Pavlova won them over at their wedding tasting. Strawberry and rhubarb with a vanilla cream and dusting of raspberry powder. Can you have an English garden wedding without strawberries on the menu? I don’t think so.
Marquee weddings are often our favourite. Seeing couples with free reign over design choices and personal choices brings about the most relaxed and beautiful weddings. It really was a pleasure to be part of L & T’s wedding story.
