Real Wedding: H & E
In astonishing surroundings, overlooking Fonthill Lake, Quarry Wood is the perfect spot to create an unforgettable celebration. A wedding in the woods, this blank canvas style wedding venue was where the gorgeous H & E had their special day. We’re so pleased they chose us to cater for them.
Al Fresco Drinks Reception
Beginning with a colourful array of canapés and celebratory bubbles, this English Country Garden style wedding reception was truly buzzing. The murmur of happy chatting, clinking glasses and grins all around. H & E chose Driftwood & Poached Rhubarb Crostini, Tempura Prawns with Romesco and Courgette Pakoras, among others, for their canapé menu.
Sharing Style Wedding Banquet
To bring friends and family together, a part-plated, part-sharing meal was enjoyed across long banquet style tables in the beautiful sperry tent. Urns of just-gathered style arrangements adorned the tables, with our rustic crockery and cutlery singing in perfect harmony. We were ecstatic when we saw the stationery - the menus were very beautiful.
Labneh with beetroot, carrot and radicchio led, with the main event being a porchetta feast with platters of fennel and pomegranate slaw with other salads. Guests were delighted to pass around abundant bowls piled high with colourful produce. We plated up H & E’s wedding cake for dessert with elderflower cream on the side.
An Evening Reception of Dreams
Dancing with the trees, the marquee featured star-like fairylights hung magically above trees at each pole. We served refreshing and vibrant cocktails to get the party started, and later on served up crunchy and savoury fish finger butties.
H & E were a dream, both in the run up and on the day of their wedding they were the most positive and lovely people to work with. It makes us smile when our brides and grooms are as excited by food as we are.
